I was happy to see that someone came through with this:

And while I’m at it, a shout out to Strange Maps, the source. I got there through a link on kottke to a map of food regions, and kept reading till the bottom of the page. (In the interest of full disclosure, I am a history nerd, and maps are cool.)
Some I liked: The size of Africa, Plan for Britain’s incorporation to US, Regions of American politics (I’ve seen this somewhere else recently, in the election aftermath) Europe’s North-South divides, Europe as the US and the US as Europe.

Taiwan? No way. Even educated people (let alone Bush) get it confused with Thailand.
